Stop, for the love of all that's holy under the heavens, cleaning up! I suffered from this 'ailment' for a long time. I'd arrange my boxes. Then the pencils, then notice the grease tacked onto the window seal. Then I would exercise and make a few 'important' phone calls. I'd do everything but sit at my desk and write.
Leave the house chores alone. Schedule a time to do them and clear up then. In a nutshell:
LEAVE THE UNIMPORTANT STUFF TILL LAST, STOP PROCASTINATING

As the late great Jim Rohn once said, "Motivation isn't all that it's cracked up to be; if you keep motivating an idiot then you get a motivated idiot!"
My girl couldn't make the seminar which was tastily - and somewhat dubiously - titled "Never Work Again!" I'm not against Self Help/Motivational seminars at all. However, I do believe that you have to decide what is most important to you, ensure (as much as possible) that you're gonna get it, before parting with your money. Otherwise, you may just leave feeling shortchanged - or you leave feeling great, only to find that not much has changed… - What Lies Within

Woke up at 5.30am - and stayed up. Something I haven't done so far this year. It scares me how so easily one can throw away a good habit. You spend months doing something that's good for you in a certain way - but this requires consistency - only to throw it away with the slightest disruption to your routine. Then the bad habits set in. And if there's one thing I've learnt; it's that your victory will most likely come from somewhere within your habits; within what you do on a consistent basis.
